The 2005 ICN Resources College Scholarship

Congratulations to the following recipients of last year's 2004 ICN Resources College Scholarship award...

Tommie Blalock, Rockledge, Florida

Tommie will be attending Boston Baptist College this fall.

Joshua Mimbs, McCaysville, Georgia

Joshua is attending Boyce College and his scholarship is being renewed for the 2004-05 term%.

Brian Schneider, Port St. Lucie, Florida

Brian was the 2002 recipient of the scholarship award. He attends Boston Baptist College where he is majoring in Biblical and Cross-Cultural Studies.

We are also pleased to announce that we will be renewing part of Brian's scholarship. As God provides, we hope to be able to continue to offer past scholarship recipients with the opportunity to renew their scholarship award.

Information for Prior-Year Scholarship Recipients

Qualifications...

The 2005 scholarship will be awarded on July 1, 2005 to one or more deserving students. To apply for this scholarship, you must meet all of the following requirements…

Be a Christian with a sincere desire or calling to pursue a career in Christian ministry, and
Be a United States citizen, and
Have a cumulative grade point average from high school of at least 3.0, and
Have received a high school diploma from an accredited public or private high school between January 1, 2005 and July 1, 2005, and
Have been accepted to and be planning to attend an accredited public or private college or university beginning with the Summer 2005 or Fall 2005 term, and
Be in good standing and actively participating in a local church body near where you live.

The award amount of this annual scholarship depends on the number of applications received, the number of scholarships awarded, and the amount of donations made to the scholarship fund. Recipients and award amounts will be announced on July 1, 2005.

The 2001 Scholarship Award was $1,700.
The 2002 Scholarship Award was $3,800.
The 2003 Scholarship Award was $7,800.
The 2004 Scholarship Award was $7,000.

Scholarship FAQ...

Q: What if I'm not sure where I'm going to college yet or what career I'm pursuing.

A: You are welcome to submit an application even if you're not yet sure where you will attend college or exactly what kind of career you will pursue. In your application you will have the opportunity to discuss any plans you already have, or options you are considering.

Q: Do I have to attend a Christian college, Bible college or Seminary to receive this scholarship?

A: No. As long as you're ultimately pursuing a career in Christian ministry or Christian service--even if you're planning to do it part-time, you can apply--as long as you meet the other qualifications.

Q: How much is the scholarship?

A: The amount of the scholarship will depend on the number of scholarships the scholarship committee chooses to award, based on the number of applicants and their qualifications, as well as the amount of money contributed to the scholarship fund right up until the July 1 award date.

Q: Who is the 'Scholarship Committee'?

A: The Scholarship Committee consists of members of the ICN Resources Board of Directors. Our board is comprised of adults who are passionate about Jesus Christ and who are committed to our mission of Building Christ-Centered Leaders. They will do an excellent job of reviewing the applications and determining the recipients.

Donations to the ICN Resources College Scholarship are tax-deductible.

We accept donations to the scholarship fund year-round.
