Listed below are the members of the ICN Resources Board of Directors, along with a comment from Ken Edwards about each.

Ron Barnes, Alpharetta, Georgia

Ron has been a close, personal friend of mine for over twelve years.  We first met as volunteers on the Alpharetta Fire Department in 1987.  We taught a high school Sunday School class together at Crabapple First Baptist Church in Alpharetta.  Ron currently attends John’s Creek Baptist Church in Alpharetta, where he helps coordinate the youth ministry, sings in the choir and serves as a deacon.  Ron is the Director of Pharmacy at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta.

Ron is one of the most giving people I know.  He is committed to student ministry, and has been one of my greatest supporters and encouragers over the years.

Chris Campbell, Bridgeport, West Virginia

Chris has been in youth ministry for over twelve years.  He has served as the Youth Pastor at Fellowship Bible Church in Bridgeport for the last seven and a half years.  We first met when I spoke at the Burrito Brothers Flying Youth Camp, where he has served as Camp Co-Director for the last ten years.  Chris and I have kept in close contact since that camp, and have shared on many occasions the challenges and rewards of ministering to students.  Chris and his wife Cynthia are committed to student ministry, not only at the leadership level, but also in one area that I am most passionate about—one-on-one discipleship and accountability.

Chris is one of the wisest men I know, and his advice, insight and encouragement to me have been invaluable.

Le Church, Anderson, South Carolina

Le is a great friend.  He is also my first cousin.  I’ve had the opportunity to watch Le grow up and pursue his dream to become a doctor.  He graduated from East Carolina Medical School in Greeneville, North Carolina, and is currently in his second year of residency at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina.  Le and his wife Nancy are actively involved in their church and community, and had their first child this spring--Larson Taylor Church.

Le is a model of faithfulness and service.  He has been a true inspiration to me over the years, and I greatly admire his way of building relationships.  He has also been a tremendous supporter and encouragement to me.

Sheri Elmont, Portland, Oregon

Sheri and I first met at a youth camp in Idaho in the summer of 1999.  She has been involved in high school youth ministry for the past seventeen years.  She currently handles scheduling for several youth speakers and special event companies in Portland.  Over the past year and a half, Sheri and I have exchanged e-mails and shared insight and encouragement in relating to and working with students.  We share the same vision regarding the importance of long-term investments in the lives of students.

Sheri’s consistent commitment to seeking God’s direction and following God’s principles in her life and ministry has been an inspiration to me.

Justin Gilliam, Woodstock, Georgia

Justin is one of my closest friends.  I was his Sunday School teacher his senior year in high school.  He went on to graduate from Carson-Newman College.  He currently works as a staff auditor for American Pioneer Title Insurance Company in Atlanta.  He and his wife Carrie serve in the children’s department at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta.

Justin is one of the most consistent Christians I know.  Over the years, he has demonstrated discipline and great faith in everything he has done.  I call Justin “my biggest fan,” because of his tremendous love, support and encouragement in my ministry work and Christian growth.

Rob Goldsmith, Lawrenceville, Georgia

Rob is one of my closest friends.  We first met at First Baptist Church of Atlanta in early 1996.  Rob had just joined the staff in the youth department, and I had just volunteered to help with Sunday School.  Over the next three years, Rob and I worked closely with the students at First Baptist Atlanta and became great friends.  Rob single-handedly built the infrastructure of the youth ministry and led the way to one of the closest-knit groups of students and leaders there in many years.  Rob and his wife Laurie recently gave birth to their first child, Hayley.  Rob currently serves as Vice-President of Operations for Student Leadership Development, a ministry I have worked with for the past two and a half years.

Rob is one of the greatest servants I know.  His commitment to students is unmatched, and a true inspiration.

Jeff Hawkins, Calhoun, Georgia

Jeff and I first met when Jeff was serving as Youth Minister at Crabapple First Baptist Church in Alpharetta in 1990.  Jeff  went on to attend Columbia Bible College, and graduated from Mid-America Seminary in 1995.  He has served as Senior Pastor at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Hickory Flat, Mississippi, and he is currently the Senior Pastor at Belmont Baptist Church in Calhoun, Georgia.  Jeff and his wife Margaret have a son, Jay.

Jeff was instrumental in inspiring me to minister to youth.  His testimony, encouragement, wisdom, Biblical insight and illustrations of truth over the years have contributed tremendously to my spiritual growth.
